As with all blogs, there is always a chance to give feedback from articles written, to ask questions and/or to leave a positive comment to keep the interaction between us flowing.  It's always nice to keep in touch and lift each other up.   OK - So here we go!

Staying Positive & Keeping the Faith

It’s not such an easy task this day for many!  First, I do thank God that I have my faith, but even still, it can be a struggle at times to push the negative thoughts and feelings out of our minds!
I have to remind myself daily to be careful not to get caught up in the negativity that exists all around us.  If you are in a situation where negativity is brewing, then change your atmosphere. Hey, while you're at it, turn off the TV or at least watch an uplifting program.  It’s important to focus on the things that bring peace not fear.
We all need to feed our faith in order to handle times like these. Devoting time to prayer lightens a heavy heart and brings peace.  Surround yourself with positive people. Make use of the little sticky notes with uplifting affirmations or write your own!  If you happen to be having a tough morning and you open your medicine cabinet to brush your teeth and find a little note that reads something like,  “God will make a way when there seems to be no way”, I guarantee your morning will change.
Words we use are powerful, especially when we speak those words out loud.  Words can lift someone up, or weigh them down.  When we are frustrated with our current situation and run out of patience, we can sometimes give voice to our frustrated emotions.  “ I’ll never get out of this mess!” or “How will I ever reach my goals?” or better still, “Things will never change!”  Sound familiar?  Sure it does, because we all do it at one time or another.
One of my favorite authors is inspirational speaker, Joyce Meyers.  She wrote the best seller called Battlefield of the Mind. I’ve found this to be one of the most powerful tools to help remove the obstacles in life with a goal to help set you free!  This book is filled with God’s powerful Word, healing scriptures, spiritual weapons and positivity!  The author reminds us to “think about what you are thinking about” because we give life to our words through our thoughts.

This is a perfect time to invite you to register for my online workshop entitled, Battlefield of the Mind. This workshop is usually run during a weekend retreat due to the content covered, but I will condense it so that we can accomplish it in two -2 hour sessions.  I hope you will register and join us!  Your participation helps to support and allows this ministry to continue and grow!  Here's the Registration information below.  You will find a Yellow Button on my blog which says Add To Cart - Workshop Registration.  Thank you.

Battlefield of the Mind  Online Workshop

Session 1 - Scheduled Date: March 17, 2022   6:30 PM-8:30 PM

This workshop is suited for those who are determined to be set free from the negative and eager to learn how to live in the positive by focusing on and living God's Word.   We will investigate attitudes, mindsets and fears that keep us from overcoming our struggles in life.  The suggested offering for this workshop is $30.00 per session and includes an effective presentation, workshop materials and interactive worksheets, constructive discussions and sharing. I have had many former attendee's write to me sharing how this course has made a marked and positive difference in their every day lives.

Upon registration, a course outline and link will be sent to you. You may register for one session at a time in case you are unable to make Session #2, but trust me, you won't want to miss it. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Here are a couple of testimonials below:

- "I keep the workshop notes nearby and read them whenever I need a lift! It helps every time!"-AH
- "Seriously, this is one of the best workshops I've ever attended!  It's changed my life for the better. I refer to the notes often!" - AL
-"I enjoyed this workshop so much that I went out to purchase the book. The examples you gave are memorable and moving. Thank you for your witness sharing, it adds so much to the presentation." - MG

I'm always so thankful for comments like these!  It's surely like "wind beneath my wings" πŸ˜‡

Wishing Everyone a Happy, healthy New Year filled with love, joy, hope and peace!

When I think about love, joy and peace, St. Francis always comes to mind.  As a matter of fact, this whole year,  I've tried to keep the spirit of St. Francis in the forefront of my thoughts.  It has fueled my energy and helped to maintain my hope through these very difficult times.

St. Francis had so much love - love for all people as well as all of God's creations, right down to the bugs that walk the earth.  God is pure love, therefore, everything that God creates should be treated as such - and St. Francis never failed at it.  Well, I guess that's one of the reasons that he's a saint and we are not yet there.  We are urged to keep on trying.  Look at things through the eyes of Christ, not the world.  It certainly changes the outcome of our circumstances and God gives us the grace we need to get through whatever we are dealing with.

Being forced to shelter in place has allowed for all of us to awaken some of the things we thought had faded within us.  Right?  Think about it for a minute.  What have you reconnected with over this past year?  I know we miss gathering with friends and family and it pains me not to be able to embrace as we did before - not to mention the many precious lives lost - but, I'm not talking about the painful parts the pandemic has brought, I'm asking you to think about the positive changes that may have taken place to stir up our hope for a better tomorrow.   Have you been able to change your attitude a bit?  Do you find you have a little more compassion for others?  Have you had the chance to give prayer another chance to be a part of your daily life? Do you appreciate a warm, sunny day a bit more or long for the way a flower blooms in spring?  Are you thankful for being able to spend a little more quality time with your children?  Can you feel God's presence when you call upon Him? Are you thankful to be able to gaze into the eyes of those you love?  Is forgiveness on your heart? Try to surrender to the quiet, open your heart and be still and allow God's grace and wisdom to touch the depths of your soul.  It brings peace.

My friend, Cindy gave me a beautiful book years back about St. Francis, the peacemaker.  I  reflect on one sentence that seems to stick with me.   Since St. Francis is so on my mind at this writing, I'm going to repeat it ..."Can you dedicate one day in which you purchase nothing, go nowhere, lighten your footprints on this earth?  This did not make Francis stark or severe.  It blessed him with deep stillness, so he could hear the love song of the Holy One. The deeper the quietude he cultivated, the more the divine music resounded through his soul, echoing into every chamber of his life.  Anyone who came into contact with him could hear it in the air all around him, like the hum of bees sometimes, at other times like a parade coming down fast from the mountain."

This is so beautiful - I find comfort in it and I hope you do as well.  I hope and pray to see you again soon!  We continue to pray for each other and for this world.  Until we meet again, may God's holy angels keep you and yours surrounded in love, joy, peace and protection.

Send me a note if you feel moved.  I'd love to hear from you!

God bless,  Love & prayers,

Marge πŸ˜‡πŸ’“

Angels All Around Us!

Hello Dear Friends,

It's been over a year since I've posted on my blog so I hope you will indulge and enjoy this once again.  I've always loved writing uplifting and inspirational words in hopes of making a difference in even just one life.

In light of our world crisis, I am made even more aware of how the things we choose to do affect our lives and those around us. It always has a ripple effect. It helps to pause and think about that statement.  We can start today in making a decision to produce only positive results and end adding to the negativity of our present world.   On my desk in my Angel shop I kept a quote ~ perhaps you've heard it before. I would see people pause, nod and acknowledge it.  It read, ""Be a light in the darkness, affect them - don't let them infect you."  This simply means do what is necessary to keep from being infected with things such as fear, doubt, panic or unlove. Much of what is happening today.  Let's focus on the Light & Love of The World.  πŸ’“ If we unite, we can make it happen.

So today, my hope is to add to the positive as I pick up my mission of God's holy angels in a more powerful way, a more determined way to share the powerful gift given to each one of us even before our birth and who continues to walk with us until our last day.

First, let me share that I've been called into this ministry of hope over 25 years ago and believe in preparation for these times.  Not only for these times but in all crisis' we will all inevitably face. It's a mission of hope.  I've been working at my mission and continue to share from our youngest to our oldest, in all and any places that the Lord takes me.  Angels are universal so there are no barriers to anyone of any culture.  Unity, devotion, hope and trust in Christ is the goal.

I have a strong devotion to Our Lord and to Our Blessed Mother, Queen of the angels along with so many of our powerful intercessor saints such as St. Padre Pio, St. Anthony, St. Gemma...I could go on and on.   I am a member of Opus Sanctorum Angelorum otherwise known as "Work of the holy angels" which has the Vatican seal of approval.  Its mission also promotes devotion to God's holy angels.  As you will read in my previous blogs, (if you so choose), I have been a guest speaker on this topic for many years.   I've served as a guest speaker at the Detroit Marian Center of Peace , Angel Conference sharing the stage with the National Director and foremost theological official located in Detroit. That was amazing and confirming to my mission.

It still amazes me, that when God calls you to a mission, he equips you with everything you need and He makes all things possible at the right time...His Time. I continue to learn through the years to trust because it is true that God will never put you on a path and allow you to fail.  Imagine...little ole me being flown to Detroit to share the knowledge that God has put in my heart and spirit about The Mission of God's Holy Angels in our daily lives. Praise the Lord for that!

The holy angels are messengers of God.  The goal is to enlighten the hearts and minds of all of us regarding the lifelong help our holy angels provide to us on a daily basis, if we call upon them.  As quoted by Our Blessed Mother, "the angels of the Lord have a very important part to play in my victorious plan."  Victorious plan?  Over whom?  Over satan and all the evil spirits in the world, trying to divide us and bring everything down in ruins.

I believe we are at war - yes, a spiritual battle, so let each one of us take up our sword with the powers given us and fight! Fight for the light to overrule the darkness so we can live in a better world, a brighter world.  Prayer changes things - always.

There are nine choirs of angels but  I'm not going to get into that right now, as I just want to focus on our 3 important Archangels.  We are blessed with the help of 3 Archangels of God, who each have an army within themselves. I will discuss their mission and then write more on the next blog realizing that this is a lot to take in at one time.

First, St. Michael, our warrior angel! In charge of protecting heaven and earth.  St. Michael protects and defends us from the snares and attacks of the devil.  He keeps us safe from all the attempts made on us of doubt, division, temptation, spiritual safety and even physical safety!  We want to call upon him daily with this very powerful prayer of protection:  Please join in praying this below!

St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle.  Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou oh Prince of the heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.  Amen.

Next archangel is St. Gabriel, our messenger!  St. Gabriel brought the great message of our coming Savior to Mary.  St. Gabriel is given the task to keep us strong and vigilant. He leads us to be courageous and faith filled.

The 3rd archangel is St. Raphael, known as the Medicine of God - Our archangel that brings us the healing grace of God, not only in sickness but in health.  He offers guidance, strength, and comfort in our daily lives.

And then, there are our loving Guardian Angels who are with us every step of the way!  Each one of us has been assigned a guardian angel by God to guide us and guard us in our everyday lives. These angels are with us every moment and should be acknowledged & welcomed everyday with this beautiful prayer:

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day, be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.   I have many beautiful stories to share about these incredible gifts to us!

Thank God for His holy angels.  We are never alone and we never have to feel alone even if we live by ourselves.  Pray that the holy angels keep you and yours surrounded in love, joy, peace and protection each and every day!  Good always wins...Prayer helps it come faster! God bless us all and may the Precious Blood of Jesus, save us and the whole world.  Until next time....Love, Marge

Happy New Year - 2019!

Hello all!

Wow!  It's been a few years since I've blogged on this site.  I'm happy to be back!  One of my resolutions this year is to blog often with positive, happy, hopeful and inspiring points of interest!  If you need a lift or need to hear a positive word for the day....here is one place to find it!

WORD FOR THE DAY.....JOY!   -

Don't let anyone or anything steal it!

Yesterday, I was searching the metal bins at The Christmas Tree shop where dozens of boxed cards were thrown in  together.  There were thank you cards, inspirational cards, greeting cards; well, you get the picture.  All of them were a little bit over the top from what I was hoping to find, but then, I came across a box of cards which simply said, " Think Happy ~ Be Happy!"  Hit the nail right on the head and I knew those were for me.

If we think happy, we can be happy!  Easier said than done, but its true!  Most people who are not experiencing JOY are the ones that are focusing on unhappy thoughts or circumstances.  They will go over it and over it, again and again until it consumes them.  We've all done it at one time or another.  Unhealthy to say the least. Instead of assuming the worst, try believing the best!  It's truly amazing how our attitude can affect our outcome.

In order to get back on track, we have to fill our minds with positive thoughts.  Scripture is one way to do that rather quickly!  There is power in God's Word.  I love reading scripture!  It's so inspiring and brings hope to any situation.  I keep this scripture close in heart and have it framed as a beautiful stain glass sun catcher that hangs in my window.  I don't only read it, I believe it and have experienced its many fruits.

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to proper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

And still, after all these years, each time I read it, it brings me JOY!  With God, all things are possible for those who believe!

Until next time, may God's holy angels keep you and yours surrounded in love, joy, peace and protection!  Angels all around!

love, Marge

September is a busy month with lots of changes taking place. All the kids are back at school, summer is winding down and fall is around the corner! We can look forward to the splendid colors of fall, rustling leaves, apple orchards, and a brisk walk in the park to awaken our spirits to all that's new and waiting for us to explore!

The month of September holds one of my most favorite feasts which is The Feast of St. Michael, the archangel on September 29th. St. Michael is the guardian of heaven and earth, and our protector against evil. We need to acknowledge St. Michael more than ever now. Our world is in such turmoil and cannot survive mediocrity from us any longer. This battle against good and evil involves all of us. People have to care and stand for the good so that positive change can take place. Is it so difficult to take some time and pray? To be kind to one another? To not let jealousy rule your actions? When you are challenged the next time, try to remember to not take it so personally. For if we remember in scripture we know that our battle is not against each other, but against the spiritual forces of darkness. If you are not familiar with the St. Michael Prayer, then here it is for you:

St. Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle
Be our protection against the wickedness & snares of the devil
May God rebuke him we humbly pray.
And do thou Oh Prince of the Heavenly Host cast into hell,
satan and all the evil spirits who wander about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Come and join us for the Rosary Breakfast on Saturday, September 28 th where our talk will be on St. Michael, the archangel. We will also remember our other two wonderful archangels, St. Raphael, medicine of God and St. Gabriel, God's messenger and protector of families. We need to be aware of and call upon our holy angels every day.

Enjoy reading the rest of this newsletter which is full of events, trips, retreats and pilgrimages to lift your spirits. Hope to see you soon.

MARCH 2013 NEWSLETTER

Hello Everyone!

The seasons are about to change and with that an opportunity to refresh and renew. As I open with this topic, I want to share some of the ways that I plan on refreshing and renewing this growing ministry. Proverbs 29:18 teaches us ,"where there is no vision, the people perish; but when they attend to what GOD reveals, they are most blessed."

I have been blessed to be able to run The Angel Connection for over 18 years. As with all productive ministries, there comes a time where a review of business function is necessary in order to continue moving forward in a positive way. I have been trying my best to follow the Spirit of God through the years. The Women's Rosary breakfast was born almost 10 years ago as a positive addition to the ministry. We have been reaching out and connecting with women from various towns, cities and states, sharing hope and inspiration along the way. It has been such a joy and blessing to connect with all of you in sharing our faith and friendship.

As we continue to grow, we will look forward to enjoying more guest speakers, scheduled trips and various events to uplift our spirits. I wait expectantly and faithfully for the Lord to bless me with a Spiritual Center where all of the various programs that The Angel Connection offers can be housed in one place. Investors are welcome ! I do have a business plan ready and waiting. Now there's a vision...What a blessing that would be!

I hope to continue as well as to enhance the beautiful relationship we have had thus far and look forward to many more years of connecting with you! Until we meet again, may God's holy angels keep you and yours surrounded in love, peace, joy and protection.
God bless, Love, Marge

Fr. Mike is the Formation Director in the Postulancy Program for the Province of the Immaculate Conception. He is a solemnly Professed member of the Order of Friars Minor, commonly known as the Franciscans. He entered the Order in 1991 and was ordained in 2000.

Fr. Mike holds a Masters of Divinity degree as well as a Masters of Theology with a concentration in Counseling. His primary ministry has been parish work. Prior to being named Postulancy Director in September of 2010, he was a Pastor at St. Francis Xavier Parish in New Milford, CT. Although I am sure they miss him in CT, we are so thankful to have him back! It has been such a blessing to have him in my life as a long time friend and advisor. His joy for life shines through his spirit filling the lives of all those he meets with inspiration.

I am happy to share this quote from him with you. It makes my heart smile!
"I love Jesus and I am so thankful for the gift of faith. Originally from Quincy, Ma., with family living on the South Shore, and now stationed in the North End of Boston, I find myself very much at home! "
  -Fr. Mike Mac
